'Babar Azam is is world No. 1 player, and he has performed outstandingly for Pakistan', said Mushtaq. Explaining his poor performance in the Pakistan Super League, Mushtaq told reporters that T20 cricket is all about momentum and all the six teams in PSL are very strong, but the team which gets the momentum takes the edge. 'Unfortunately, Karachi couldn’t get the momentum', he added.
Azam has led his team Karachi Kings to 8 consecutive losses in the event. Moreover he has only scored 2 half centuries in all the games he has played in Pakistan's 6-team T20 league. Babar's team is at the 5th spot and he has scored a mere 268 runs in 8 games.
