Pakistan Cricket Board has reportedly asked the International Cricket Council for changes in the venue proposed by India for the ODI World Cup 2023 which will take place in the October to November window.

As per reports, the venue confirmation for the marquee tournament is delayed because of PCB's hesitancy to play matches at the proposed venues.

Pakistan reportedly is set to play against India in Ahmedabad and will face Afghanistan in Chennai and Australia in Bengaluru. Out of these, they have demanded 2 changes- while they do not want to play against India in Ahmedabad, they also want to play the Afghanistan game in Bengaluru instead of Chennai.

The Najam Sethi-led-board purportedly feels that India has intentionally proposed matches at venues where the Pakistan team may encounter challenges related to pitch conditions, practice facilities and travel arrangements.
