With less than 3 months for the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 in India, cricket fans are eagerly waiting to purchase tickets for the matches beginning October 5.

However, the hosts are yet to make ticketing-related details available to the public with BCCI Secretary Jay Shah revealing that fans will have to retain physical copies of tickets as e-tickets will not be available.

Speaking to the media on Thursday, Shah said, 'We can’t use e-tickets this time around but will ensure to have physical tickets redemption at 7-8 centers well in advance. But physical ticket needs to be retained.'

He stated that the Board wants to test out e-tickets in bilateral series before rolling the feature out for multi-nation events like the World Cup.

The Secretary assured ticketing details will be jointly shared by the BCCI and ICC very soon.
