India's first warm-up game against England ahead of the 2023 edition of the ODI World Cup which was to be played in the Barsapara stadium was called off due to incessant rain in Guwahati.

The match was cancelled without a ball being bowled. However, the toss did take place and Indian skipper Rohit Sharma won and had elected to bat first.

India will next play against the Netherlands on October 3 in Thiruvananthapuram and England are slated to play Bangladesh on October 2.

The Men in Blue begin their ODI World Cup campaign against Australia on October 8th.
