Naman Ojha's spectacular ton and a splendid performance by the bowlers helped Sachin Tendulkar-led India Legends beat the Sri Lanka Legends by 33 runs to win the Road Safety World Series 2022 title in Raipur on Saturday.
After opting to bat first, India-L suffered an early blow as Sachin Tendulkar was dismissed for a first-ball duck. However, Naman Ojha held the fort rigorously and his stunning 71-ball 108 including a valuable 90-run stand with Vinay Kumar helped India-L post a 195-run target.
In reply, Sri Lanka legends were underwhelming - they were never in the 195-run chase. The top order skittled to 41/4 within 8 overs. However, Ishan Jayaratne produced a fightback but that wasn't sufficient as Tillakratne Dilshan's team were bowled out for 162 with 7 balls to spare. Vinay Kumar and Abhimanyu Mithun were the pick of the bowlers as they together got 5 wickets for the winners.
