5-time IPL Champions, Mumbai Indians, who finished bottom of the IPL table last season, decided to undertake a big overhaul of the squad they had collected in the last IPL auction.

The omnipresent Kieron Pollard announced his IPL retirement after being told he was among the 13 players released by Mumbai ahead of the retention cutoff date. Daniel Sams, Fabian Allen, Riley Meredith too didn't make the cut.

Captain Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Tristan Stubbs, Dewald Brevis, Jofra Archer are among the 16 players retained by the franchise.

Mumbai are left with ₹20.55 crore and have 3 overseas slots to fill in the IPL auction next month..
