In delighting news for MS Dhoni fans, Thala has confirmed that he will play next year's IPL for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

The 41-year-old attended a franchise event recently, during which he confirmed that he would return to the iconic Chepauk Stadium in Chennai next year.

BCCI president Sourav Ganguly had confirmed that IPL will return to its original home-and-away format from next season after 3 seasons being played inside a bio-bubble due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Dhoni and CSK played in Chennai way back in 2019 but the 4-year-long wait will finally end next year. Dhoni has often said that he wants his last game to be in Chennai, which might mean that IPL 2023 would likely be the last time Mahi plays the IPL.
