Despite widespread criticism, rape-accused leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane was included in Nepal's squad for next week's tri-series, involving Namibia and Scotland.

The Nepal Cricket Association announced the squad for the tri-series in the ICC World Cup League 2, with Lamichhane's name featuring in the 14-man list.

Lamichhane is out on bail after being charged with raping a minor and the case is currently under investigation. The player's bail application has also been challenged in Nepal's Supreme Court.
