Fans might have to wait a bit longer for Jasprit Bumrah to return to action as according to reports, the pacer is set to miss the final 2 Tests and the ODI series vs Australia.

A senior BCCI official told InsideSport that Bumrah is close to recovery but not there yet. 'As we have seen before, rushing his return could be a terrible idea. It’s better that he regains full fitness and joins his IPL team where he will be under constant observation of Mumbai Indians medical team,' the source added.

The board wants Bumrah to be fit ahead of the World Test Championship final but there isn't any workload management plan in place. The BCCI source revealed that 'Bumrah is important not just for MI but also for India. The franchise knows that and they will keep his workload in check.'
