It didn't seem like anyone would break AB de Villiers' fastest limited-overs hundred record in professional cricket but Jake Fraser-McGurk has done the unthinkable.
The 21-year-old South Australia batter smashed the fastest limited-overs century in just 29 balls during a Marsh Cup match against Tasmania on Sunday.
He beat ABD's 8-year-old record by 2 balls. AB de Villiers had smashed a hundred off 31 balls in an ODI against the West Indies in 2015.
McGurk reached his fifty in 18 balls, the fastest for an Australian batter in 50-over cricket. Interestingly, it was his first ever domestic century in since his debut for Victoria against Queensland at Melbourne in 2019.
