In a major turn of events, Hardik Pandya was traded to the Mumbai Indians just 2 hours after he was retained by the Gujarat Titans on Sunday.

Since the trading window was open till December 12, Hardik's former club pulled off an all-cash deal. Therefore, no player moved from MI to Gujarat Titans.

It was earlier reported that Mumbai was to pay ₹15 crore to get back Hardik. It will be interesting to see will the all-rounder be made skipper of the side or not since MI already retained Rohit Sharma.

They however, released 11 players ahead of the IPL mini auction on December 19.

Mumbai Indians released players: Jofra Archer, Arshad Khan, Ramandeep Singh, Hrithik Shokeen, Raghav Goyal, Tristan Stubbs, Duan Jansen, Jhyle Richardson, Riley Meredith, Chris Jordon, Sandeep Warrior

Gujarat Titans released players: Hardik Pandya, Yash Dayal, KS Bharat, Shivam Mavi, Urvil Patel, Pradeep Sangwan, Odean Smith, Alzarri Joseph, Dasun Shanaka
