2-time IPL Champions Kolkata Knight Riders have acquired Shardul Thakur in an all-cash trade deal with the Delhi Capitals after the all-rounder had a below-par IPL 2022.

With November 15 being the player-retention cutoff date, KKR acquired the services of Shardul who was bought for ₹10.75 crores in the IPL mega-auction earlier this year.

Thakur picked up 15 wickets with an economy of close to 10 and scored just 120 runs with the bat in a campaign where the Delhi Capitals failed to qualify for the playoffs.

Before Thakur, KKR had already acquired the services of pacer Lockie Ferguson & wicketkeeper-batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz from the Gujarat Titans.

In other IPL news, England star Adil Rashid is all set to participate in the IPL mini-auction set to be held on December 23.
