The Aussie pacer proved to be the surprise pick of IPL 2024 Auction on Tuesday as Gujarat Titans shelled out ₹10 crore to get him into its squad.
Interestingly, the 28-year-old Australian fast bowler had a base price of just ₹50 lakh.
An IPL contract isn't the only positive this year for Johnson. He made his Big Bash League debut, his first-class debut, The Hundred debut T20I debut and also his ODI debut in 2023.
On his BBL debut, he bowled 20 balls, took 3 wickets and conceded just 1 run. He also made his One Day debut against India in September.
