IPL 2022: Virat Kohli could be rested for T20 home series against South Africa: Reports

Virat Kohli, who has been going through a difficult time in his career and could be rested for the upcoming T20 home series against South Africa which will start on June 9th after the conclusion of IPL 2022.

It is expected that the national selection committee, led by Chetan Sharma, would allow Kohli to take a break after staying in bio-bubble for the last two months.

A senior BCCI told PTI, "Virat Kohli will be rested for the South Africa series. He has been playing a lot of cricket and has been in the bubble for a long time."

India's no.1 cricketer has been experiencing the worst phase in his career as he has failed to make an impact in IPL 2022 and hasn't scored an international century in the last 3 years.

India is set to host South Africa for a 5-match T20 series in India from June 9th.
