IPL 2022: Out of favour Indian batter Shikhar Dhawan targets World T20 spot

Shikhar Dhawan who will be playing for Punjab Kings feels that his performance in the IPL 2022 season is the key to getting into the World T20 squad. 

In his interview with The Times of India, the ex Delhi Capitals star said that although it wouldn't affect him, he is confident of doing well in IPL which will also make him a strong contender for a spot in the World T20 squad.

Dhawan further said that he is enjoying his space from the aspect of fitness, game and mindset. This he says, assures him of a good performance in the upcoming IPL which will begin from 26th March.

The 36-year-old is also eyeing the 50-over World Cup as he has consistently performed well in that format. I am just going to repeat and refine, and things will happen, he said.
