Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been ruled out of the first 2 ODIs against West Indies due to a knee injury, the BCCI has confirmed.
Before the 1st ODI between India and West Indies began, the Indian board said that Jadeja had sustained a knee injury in his right leg and that he’ll miss the first 2 ODIs of the 3-match series in the Caribbean.
The BCCI further said that the 33-year-old who was earlier named the vice-captain for the WI ODI series is under medical observation and a decision on his participation in the final ODI will be taken later.
Apart from Ravindra Jadeja, KL Rahul’s availability for the T20Is is also in doubt after he tested positive for Covid. On the hosts' side, Jason Holder missed the opener after contracting the virus as well.
