The cricket fans still have to wait for the thunderous voice of Ravi Shastri as the former India head coach's name is missing from the commentators' list for the upcoming home series against West Indies.

BCCI has shortlisted seven experts for the white-ball series against West Indies, namely, Sunil Gavaskar, L Sivaramakrishnan, Harsha Bhogle, Murali Kartik, Deep Dasgupta, and Ajit Agarkar along with West Indian Ian Bishop.

According to a Times of India report, Shastri won't do commentary in Sri Lanka series as well given he will be busy for the next two months.

However, Shastri is expected to return to the commentary box from IPL 2022.

Notably, Shastri coached the Indian team for seven years and fans were expecting to hear his voice after he ended his coaching stint.
