As Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah return to cricket for the first time after a heartbreaking World Cup final loss, they would be eager to win the Test series in South Africa, something which no other Indian team has managed to do in the past.
However, for that to happen, India vs South Africa 1st Test needs to start. That looks highly unlikely on Tuesday as heavy rain is predicted in Centurion on Day 1 of the Test match.
In fact, India and South Africa's outdoor training session on Monday was also cancelled due to rain.
Hourly Centurion weather forecast
According to AccuWeather, there's a 96% chance of rain which will go on for 4 hours during the day.
The website has also predicted thunderstorms between 7 AM to 9 AM local time and the toss is scheduled at 9:30 AM (1 PM IST).
Post that, the conditions are expected to remain cloudy before another spell of rain between 1 PM to 2 PM.
If the MET department's prediction comes true, it's highly likely that the toss will be delayed. Rain may also play spoilsport on Day 1.
