After whitewashing New Zealand in the ODIs, Team India, under the leadership of Hardik Pandya will be hoping to replicate their brilliant show against the Kiwis in the three-match T20I series that starts on Friday in Ranchi.

With senior batters rested and few players expected to assemble for a camp in Nagpur ahead of the Australia series, team management could give an extended run to the likes of Rahul Tripathi, Deepak Hooda and Washington Sundar among others.

Meanwhile, reserve opener Ruturaj Gaikwad has been ruled out due to injury and in his absence, Prithvi Shaw, who is in scintillating form, could finally get his opportunity during the series.

In the bowling departing, Arshdeep Singh will lead India's pace attack along with Umran Malik and Shivam Mavi.

For New Zealand, captain Mitchell Santner will be hoping the visitors can put the horrors of the ODI series behind them despite the unavailability of several key players.
