England have announced their playing XI for the rescheduled fifth Test match against India that starts on Friday.

Veteran pacer James Anderson, who missed the final Test against New Zealand, makes his return to the playing XI, with Jamie Overton making way for the 39-year-old. Matty Potts, who finished with 14 wickets from 3 matches against the Black Caps, keeps his place.

After winning the Test series against New Zealand 3-0 at home, the Ben Stokes-led side will be hoping to keep their winning run in-tact.

Alex Lees, Zak Crawley, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Ben Stokes (C), Jonny Bairstow, Sam Billings (wk), Jack Leach, Matty Potts, Stuart Broad, James Anderson
