Ishan Kishan addressed the press conference after Team India beat Australia by 2 wickets in the 1st T20I in Visakhapatnam on Thursday.

The wicketkeeper-batter praised his side for putting up a solid performance despite the 'wicket being not easy'. He also lauded Mukesh Kumar for his bowling and said that it's not easy when 'you are playing against a side like Australia.'

Ishan stressed the fact that this Indian team was still a young side but they needed to work on their fielding ahead of the T20 World Cup next year.

'As a fielding unit, we need to work a little harder because we don't have many games ahead of the World Cup. Everyone needs to pull up their socks and do well in upcoming games,' he said.

Ishan also revealed about his discussion with Suryakumar Yadav in the middle after India lost 2 early wickets chasing a big total.

Chasing 209, the hosts were reduced to 22/2 before Ishan and Surya stitched a 112-run stand to help India chase down the target.
