India tour of England: Police arrest fan after racism allegations at the Edgbaston Test

Birmingham Police has arrested a fan following allegations of racist behaviour during Team India's 5th Test vs England in Edgbaston.

The police department tweeted to inform that a 32-year-old man has been arrested for a racially aggravated public order offence after reports of racist, abusive behaviour at the test match and remains in custody for questioning.

A number of Indian supporters said that they had been targeted by racist abuse from other fans at the Edgbaston stadium on Day 4 of the test, which England won by 7 wickets to draw the series 2-2.
