Amid rising Covid-19 cases in the country, BCCI is likely to reduce the number of venues for the West Indies' white-ball series but the India cricket board has not yet formally discussed the options.

According to a PTI report, a BCCI official has said that the board is keeping an eye on the situation and it will take a call at the appropriate time.

India will host West Indies for three ODIs followed by as many T20Is at six venues, starting with a 50-over game in Ahmedabad on February 6. The T20I series will begin on February 15.

Apart from Ahmedabad, the other venues are Jaipur, Kolkata, Cuttack, Visakhapatnam, and Thiruvananthapuram.

Notably, BCCI has recently postponed domestic tournaments, Ranji Trophy and CK Naidu Trophy, due to a surge in Covid-19 cases across the country.
