IND vs WI 1st T20I to be played at Eden Gardens without spectators

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has not allowed the Bengal association to have spectators for the first T20 International match between India and West Indies at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

In a statement, Bengal Association president Avishek Dalmiya said that CAB on Monday again requested the BCCI to allow crowds for remaining matches.

He further added that BCCI has allowed only upper tier and hospitality boxes for sponsors and representatives of the match.

Earlier, Bengal Cricket Association hoped to host matches with spectators after the state government allowed 75 percent capacity.
