IND vs SA Tests: Ishan Kishan withdraws from squad, BCCI name replacement

Ahead of India's crucial Tests against South Africa, wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan has been withdrawn from the squad.

A statement by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) revealed that Ishan Kishan asked to be relieve from the Test squad citing personal reasons. 

The Board named KS Bharat as his replacement for the 2-match series. 

India take on South Africa in the first Test on December 26, 2023 while the second Test commences January 03, 2024. 

India's updated Test squad for South Africa series: 
Rohit Sharma (capt), Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Ruturaj Gaikwad, KS Bharat (wk), KL Rahul (wk), R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Siraj, Mukesh Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah (vice-capt), Prasidh Krishna.
