Australian pacer Jhye Richardson has been ruled out for the 3-match ODI series vs India, starting 17th March due to a hamstring injury.

As per an ESPN Cricinfo report, the right-arm bowler who is a part of the Mumbai Indians squad might not play in the upcoming IPL as well.

The 26-year-old who suffered the injury during the 2022-23 season of BBL has aggravated his injury while playing for his club side Fremantle on Saturday.

While Richardson has not played for the Aussies since June 2022, he was named in the 16-member ODI squad vs India. However, he has now been replaced by Nathan Ellis.
