ILT20: MI Emirates appoint Shane Bond as head coach

Ahead of the inaugural edition of the ILT20, Mumbai Indians have announced the coaching staff for their UAE-based franchise MI Emirates.

Shane Bond has been appointed as the Head coach of MI Emirates. He will take up the new role in addition to his current job as Mumbai Indians' bowling coach in the Indian Premier League.

Shane Bond joined Mumbai Indians in 2015 and has won 4 titles with the franchise since then.
Meanwhile, members of MI's talent scout team, Parthiv Patel and Vinay Kumar will make their debut as coaches.

Parthiv has been named MI Emirates' batting coach while Vinay Kumar was appointed as bowling coach with New Zealander James Franklin taking up the fielding coach's job.

Mumbai Indians have named Robin Singh as the manager of the UAE-based franchise.


The inaugural edition of ILT20 is scheduled to take place in January-February next year.
