There's a lot said and written about Virat Kohli's lack of form in the last couple of years but Rohit Sharma has come out in defence of the former India skipper.

Ahead of the T20 series vs the West Indies, the new India white-ball captain told the media to keep quiet for a while. When asked if Virat was in the right mental space, Rohit told the reporters that if there would be less talking from their side, then everything will be taken care of. 'Kohli is in a great mental space. He has been part of this international team for more than a decade. If someone has spent that much time, they know how to handle pressure situations, the environment and everything. It all starts with you guys. If you guys can keep it quiet for a bit, then everything will fall into place,' added Rohit.

Interestingly, a lot was also written about Rohit Sharma when he was going through a lean patch leading up to the 2021 T20 World Cup and after failing to score in the opening game vs Pakistan, Virat defended him in the press conference.
