Yashasvi Jaiswal continues to make huge strides on the ICC Test rankings. The Indian opening batter was rewarded for his consistent show with the bat as he jumped 3 places to a career-best 12th position in the latest Test rankings for batters.
The southpaw leapfrogged Rohit Sharma as the Indian skipper dropped 1 spot to the 13th place.
Jaiswal is already the highest run-getter of the 5-match Test series, with 665 runs from 4 Tests. He has scored 2 double hundreds and equalled Virat Kohli's record for the most runs in a bilateral series against England in Test cricket.
Virat, however, dropped 2 spots to number 9 as he pulled out of the Test series due to personal reasons. He though is still the highest-ranked Indian batter in whites.
Shubman Gill also climbed 4 spots to No. 31 in the batting rankings while Dhruv Jurel, the hero of India's Ranchi Test victory, achieved a career-best spot of 69.
