In a huge relief for Mohammed Shami, the Alipore Court in Kolkata has granted the Indian pacer bail in the domestic violence case lodged against him by the cricketer's ex-wife Hasin Jahan in 2018.

Though the court found no reason to summon the Indian pacer on the basis of the complaint lodged by Hasin Jahan, Shami has to appeal to the trial court and seek bail within 30 days for further proceedings of the court.

Shami's ex-wife had alleged the cricketer of having extra-marital affairs and had claimed that he assaulted her when she protested.

Shami recently returned from a successful Asia Cup 2023 campaign and appeared before the court on September 19. He is a part of India's 3-match ODI series vs Australia and the ODI World Cup 2023 as well.
