Former India cricketer Salim Durani passes away, PM Modi pays respect

Former India cricketer Salim Durrani passed away at the age of 88 at his house in Jamnagar, Gujarat.

He was a left handed all-rounder who scored 1202 runs and took 75 wickets for India in 29 Test matches.

Many former cricketers including VVS Laxman paid their respect to Salim Durani. Apart from them, Prime Minister Narendra Modi too tweeted his condolences.

PM Modi wrote, 'Salim Durani Ji was a cricketing legend, an institution in himself. He made a key contribution to India’s rise in the world of cricket. On and off the field, he was known for his style. Pained by his demise.'
