England's World Cup-winning skipper Eoin Morgan announces retirement

Eoin Morgan, who led England to its maiden ODI World Cup triumph in 2019, announced his retirement from all forms of the game on Monday.

The former English skipper had already brought the curtains down on his international career in July 2022 but was playing for the Paarl Royals in SA20.

The 36-year-old was born in Dublin, Ireland before moving to England in 2005. Morgan also led the Kolkata Knight Riders to IPL final in 2021.
