'Complete chaos': riders stuck as MotoGP Bharat faces visa issue

Spanish Motorcycle racer and 6-time premier class world champion Marc Marquez's arrival to India for the MotoGP Bharat or the Grand Prix of India has been delayed due to visa issues.

As per The Times of India, over 2000 people including riders, paddock personnels, team authorities and other officials are stuck due to visa issues. A source told TOI that both European and Indian agencies involved goofed up "which resulted in complete chaos."

After his ticket got cancelled, the Spaniard who was to leave for India on Tuesday posted a story on Instagram and wrote, 'flight delayed due to lack of visas for India, so we are going to pedal for a little while'

The first practice session is on Friday, second practice race, 2 qualification races and sprint race on Saturday and the main race is slated for Sunday. 

The oragnisers also issued a statement where they said, 'This is not a reflection on our dedication and hard work. It's an unforeseen technical glitch that's part and parcel of the challenges faced during inaugural events like this'
