Rain was expected to play a part in India vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2023 Super Four clash and it took just 24.1 overs before the downpour began.

Sudden storm didn't give the groundsmen enough time to cover the whole ground but eventually they did manage to do it.

Colombo Weather forecast

According to AccuWeather, it is likely to be a stop-start rain till around 7 PM at the R Premadasa Stadium.

Despite rain staying away for a while, play couldn't resume due to a wet outfield. There were multiple puddles all across the ground, which kept players off the field.

Though it is expected to stop post that but the MET department has predicted more showers from 8 PM onwards.

It is highly likely that the reserve day will kick in.
