The BCCI, the richest cricket board in the world who are already getting the biggest chunk of the ICC's revenue distribution are looking to push for a larger share.
The ICC has given AU$550 million (USD 363 million) to the Indian board under the 2015-23 cycle, this measures up to almost 22% of the organisation's total revenue distribution during the 8-year period. Meanwhile, Cricket Australia and most of the other full member nations received $170 million in the last deal.
While the IPL franchises have reportedly been approaching English and Australian players for full-time deals, the BCCI is pushing to get its revenue distribution share increased to 37% in the upcoming cycle. As per The Australian's report, this will amount to $1.3 billion.
