If Virat Kohli is the king in limited overs cricket, Steve Smith is undoubtedly the modern-day emperor in Tests.
The former Australian skipper smashed his 29th Test hundred in the 1st game vs the West Indies and joined on elite Aussie list. He now has the joint-4th most centuries for Australia in whites along with Sir Don Bradman. Ricky Ponting with 41 Test tons still tops that list.
Smith though made sure it was a marathon knock and went on to convert it into a double hundred. His 4th in score of over 200 in Test cricket brought him level with Sunil Gavaskar who also scored 4 double hundreds in Whites. However, there are a total of 11 players including Smith who have achieved this feat.
Smith's unbeaten knock of 200 helped Australia declare their 1st innings at 598/4.
