The Ranji Trophy match between Assam and Chhattisgarh was nothing short of a thriller.

Riyan Parag, the Assam skipper, scripted history in Raipur when he smashed ton in a mere 56 balls. It is the second-fastest century in the history of Ranji Trophy so far.

The record of fastest hundred still belongs to Rishabh Pant who scored it in 48 balls.

Meanwhile, Parag played a spectacular innings of 155 runs off 87 balls including 11 fours and 12 sixes.

Despite the captain's knock, Assam failed to defeat Chhattisgarh.
