A silver for India in the women’s long jump event!

India’s Ancy Sojan produced her personal best in Hangzhou to finish an impressive second in long jump.

The 22-year-old’s jump of 6.63 metres saw her take the silver on her Asian Games debut, with China’s Shiqi Xiong taking the Gold with a jump of 6.73 metres.

While Ancy Sojan had a remarkable outing, her compatriot Shaili Singh, the 19-year-old who is ranked much higher than Sojan, could only finish fifth overall.
