BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has confirmed that this year’s Asia Cup will take place in the UAE instead of Sri Lanka.

Speaking to media persons after BCCI’s Apex Council meeting in Mumbai, Ganguly said that UAE is the only place where rain won’t play spoilsport during the August-September window.

On Wednesday, Sri Lanka Cricket informed the Asian Cricket Council of their inability to host the multi-nation tournament due to the turmoil in the country.

Even the Lanka Premier League was postponed earlier due to the economic and political upheaval in the island nation.
