After making a fantastic comeback to Test cricket, Usman Khawaja has become a threat to Travis Head's place in the Australian squad for the last Ashes Test which is set to begin from 14th January. The 35-year-old scored a brilliant 137 in the first innings and an unbeaten 101 in the 2nd.

Khawaja who returned after a gap of 2 years that too after Travis Head tested positive for Covid, was an instant hit after he smashed double tons in the 4th Ashes Test.

Taking note of the difficult selection call, Pat Cummins, the Australian skipper said that while he is not the selector but when someone comes out and hits 2 hundred, it is pretty hard to go after them in the week after.

Travis Head too earned a match-winning ton for the Kangaroos in the opener, which set the tone for the Australians who went on to win 3 Ashes Tests back to back.
