The overpowering Australians who started the day at 126/3 declared their first inning at a commanding 416/8 on Day 2 of the 4th Ashes Test on Thursday. Usman Khawaja claimed the spotlight with his blistering ton as he scored 137 until he was bowled out by Stuart Broad. Supporting him was Steve Smith who collected a stunning 67.

Concerned with the form, the English ace bowler brought some hope on another tough day Down Under for the Three Lions. Broad who was left out in the Melbourne and Brisbane Test picked a terrific 5 wicket-haul giving away 101 runs.

England came in 20 minutess before stumps and scored 13 runs. Zak Crawley and Haseeb Hameed will take over the uphill task of chasing 403 runs on Day 3 at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
