After the Covid-19 scare early in the morning, England fought back valiantly on the ground and bowled Australia out for 267 in the 1st innings. While James Anderson picked up 4 wickets, Ollie Robinson took 3 wickets as the Aussies were bowled out with an hour left in the day.

Drama continued on the field as the Aussie bowlers came out with a plan as the English batters just perished without a fight. Mitchell Starc produced a fiery spell which blew away England as he almost collected a hattrick. Zak Crawley and Dawid Malan were dismissed by Starc as debutant Scott Boland took 2 wickets of Haseeb Hameed and night watchman Jack Leach in a single over as England went to stumps at 31 for the loss of 4 wickets.

England have 6 wickets in hand as they trail by 51 runs at stumps on Day 2 of the 3rd Test. Australia have a 2-0 lead in the series as many cricket pundits are predicting a 5-0 series whitewash.
