Ashes 3rd Test: England jolted with 4 positive Covid-19 results in the camp, tour to continue

A struggling England suffered another major blow as Cricket Australia confirmed a Covid-19 breakout in the visiting camp ahead of Day 2 of 3rd Ashes Test in Melbourne on Monday. Two members of the support staff and 2 family members tested positive on the morning of Day 2 of the Boxing Day Test vs Australia.

As a result, the entire English team was forced to under go a fresh Covid-19 test before leaving for the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The delay ensured that the match started 30 mins late as Cricket Australia and the fans had a few nervous and anxious moments before the game resumed. 

The team has been advised to maintain social distancing on field as they will be tested again after the completion of Day 2 to rule out the possibility of an infection in the team.
