An already special week turned even more memorable for Sarfaraz Khan's father Naushad Khan as industrialist Anand Mahindra decided to gift him a Mahindra Thar.
He tweeted, 'Hard work. Courage. Patience. What better qualities than those for a father to inspire in a child? For being an inspirational parent, it would be my privilege & honour if Naushad Khan would accept the gift of a Thar.'
Sarfaraz had to wait for years for his India call-up and the 26-year-old finally made his international debut in the 3rd Test against England in Rajkot.
He smashed a 66-ball-62 and became the batter to score the fastest fifty on his maiden outing.
He though had a sad end to his knock when his innings was cut short due to a run out at the non-strikers' end.
