Ajinkya Rahane pulls out of Leicestershire stint, here's why

India's veteran Test player Ajinkya Rahane has pulled out of the stint with Leicestershire in county cricket, citing hectic schedule, the club confirmed in a statement.

Rahane was supposed to play in the upcoming One Day Cup next month. However, due to 'increased international commitments', the 35-year-old decided to take a break from the County club, Leicestershire said.

Peter Handscomb who played in the County championship and the T20 Blast will extend his stay as Rahane's replacement.

After staying out for over an year, Rahane was recalled for Tests in the World Test Championship final and also got to play the following West Indies 2-match Test series.
