After Delhi Capitals and CSK, Mumbai Indians bag franchise in Major League Cricket

IPL teams have been on an expanding spree lately and have shown great interest in buying teams in other T20 leagues in the world.

The Mumbai Indians Monday announced the addition of their fifth cricket franchise as they bought the New York team in Major League Cricket (MLC).

Earlier, the Chennai Super Kings franchise acquired the Texas franchise in MLC, while the Delhi Capitals bought a stake in the Seattle franchise of a new league.

Major League Cricket will be the first professional T20 league in the United States.
