There was a time when Sreeshankar was stranded on the sixth position but in his penultimate jump, he managed to jump 8.08 metres, which took him level with Laquan Nairn of the Bahamas.

However, the Indian had to settle for silver with his second-best jump of 7.84 metres well behind Nairn’s 7.98 metres.

Sreeshankar’s compatriot Muhd Anees Yahiya, meanwhile, finished 5th with a best jump of 7.97 metres.
