CWG: Mixed doubles pair Sharath Kamal & Sreeja Akula win Gold in Table Tennis

The gold rush continues!

Indian Table Tennis stars Sharath Kamal & Sreeja Akula clinched the Gold medal in the Mixed doubles event after defeating Malaysia’s Javen Choong & Karen Lyne in the final on Sunday night.

This was India’s as well as Sharath Kamal’s 2nd Table Tennis gold at the Games, having taken the top spot in the men’s team event earlier.

Sharath & Sreeja were both on song when they took the first game 11-4. While the Malaysians did level the proceedings with an 11-9 victory in the second game, the Indians roared back to take the next two 11-5, 11-6 to take Gold.
