Indian Boxer Amit Panghal assured Indian of another medal with a fantastic 5-0 win in the flyweight category.

Panghal used his experience to perfection, mixing aggression with the right amount of caution to beat Scotland’s Lennon Mulligan in the quarter-finals.

The 2018 Silver medalist will next face Zambia’s Patrick Chinyemba in the semis.
Meanwhile, pugilist Jasmine too ensured India of a medal in the women’s 60 kg category. Jasmine overcame New Zealand’s Troy Garton through a split decision to reach the semi-finals.

Sagar Ahlawat then made it 3 in 3 for India with a victory in the men’s 92 kg quarter-final. He beat Keddy Evans Agnes of Seychelles to move into the semis.
