Men's 15km scratch race qualifiers at the Commonwealth Games 2022 turned scary on Sunday when England cyclist Matt Walls met with a serious accident.

The 24-year-old alongside Canada's Derek Gee crashed against the wall surrounding the track and landed in the crowd. Walls was the worst hit and was treated for around 40 minutes at the centre before being taken to the hospital.

The accident left a few people in the stands with wounds as medical officials were seen attending to them as well. Team England gave an update on Walls' health and said that he was doing fine.
